German Innovation Award 2026 for Elektrosil’s Smart Knob!

Innovation shapes the future – the German Innovation Awards put it in the spotlight. The internationally recognised prize honours innovations that drive real progress with bold ideas, smart solutions, and lasting impact.

Presented by the German Design Council, the awards stand for pioneering developments with substance – socially relevant, economically powerful. We are very proud that our Smart Know received the award in the category “Excellence in Business to Business Machines & Engineering”.

The jury's statement: “Modern control concepts often reach their limits when it comes to flexible and customizable haptic feedback. Smart Knob revolutionizes the operation of industrial and automotive devices by replacing mechanically fixed haptics with software-defined, freely configurable feedback. This allows detents, resistances, and acoustic signals to be individually adapted to the user, application, or situation, significantly enhancing operating comfort and reducing the variety of versions. The robust design with a high protection rating ensures use under demanding conditions. This innovative input and output unit uniquely combines flexibility, durability, and user-friendliness, opening up new possibilities for adaptive and future-proof control concepts.”
